This Trinity candle holder is a nice fusion of ancient traditional shapes and modern minimalist lines.
A unique, almost lost pottery technique is used that has survived only in one region of Western Ukraine (Havarechchyna).
The pottery is baked in a wood-burning oven as it was more than 100 years ago. Smoke seeps into the clay, oxidizing it, and giving the pottery its black surface.
Combining modern design and craft technology, the studio of Guculia revives the disappearing technique of pottery and creates decor items for modern interiors.
